This opportunity is intended for professionals who can join immediately or within a maximum one-month notice period.
Key Responsibilities
- Own project delivery across insurance analytics engagements, establishing governance, tracking daily progress, resolving risks, and ensuring deliverables meet agreed timelines, quality standards, and measurable client outcomes.
- Build trusted-advisor relationships with client stakeholders, lead recurring status meetings and working sessions, and identify new opportunities that expand EXL’s analytics impact across the insurance value chain.
- Provide technical direction across data modeling, data manipulation, predictive modeling, visualization, reporting, automation, and AI or machine learning initiatives using scalable engineering and analytics practices.
- Serve as the functional and insurance-domain expert, translating business pain points into practical analytical solutions that improve decision quality, process efficiency, customer outcomes, risk management, or profitability.
- Lead dual-shore analytics teams, coordinating delivery responsibilities, communication, dependencies, and issue resolution across geographies while maintaining consistent execution and stakeholder confidence.
- Own people leadership for offshore staff, including coaching, career management, capability building, training, recruiting, performance development, and succession planning for high-performing analytics teams.
- Diagnose inefficiencies in current processes, facilitate structured root-cause analysis, and convert insights into implemented improvements supported by clear adoption, performance, and business-impact measures.
Essential Skills & Technologies
- Deep insurance-domain experience, preferably across life insurance, with 10–18 years in core analytics, data science, predictive modeling, consulting, implementation, and direct client management.
- Strong hands-on proficiency in Python, SQL, statistical and machine learning techniques, data modeling, data manipulation, Power BI, and Tableau for production-oriented analytics and executive reporting.
- Experience with Oracle and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is mandatory, alongside cloud data storage and engineering platforms such as Snowflake, Amazon S3, or Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2.
Additional Plus
- Experience delivering GenAI, ML-AI model development, automation, reporting, or data engineering solutions across multiple stages of the insurance value chain.
- Exposure to large-scale consulting or implementation programs involving global stakeholders, complex operating models, and measurable transformation outcomes.
- Experience working with cross-cultural, international client teams and managing dual-shore delivery models in fast-changing environments.
What You'll Bring
You will bring 10–18 years of progressive experience in core analytics and data science, with substantial exposure to insurance and preferably life insurance clients. You should combine strong technical depth with the judgment to shape solutions, challenge assumptions, and connect analytical work to business outcomes. Your experience should include Python, SQL, predictive modeling, data engineering, visualization, reporting, automation, Power BI, and cloud data platforms, with mandatory exposure to Oracle and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. You will be comfortable leading client conversations, facilitating working sessions, managing delivery governance, and acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders. You should have a proven record of managing analytics teams, including offshore career development, coaching, training, recruiting, and performance management. Strong written and verbal communication, structured problem solving, initiative, and an entrepreneurial hands-on approach are essential.
