About the Company
We are an engineering-led organization delivering complex projects for clients across the oil and gas sector. Our teams combine disciplined project controls, technical engineering, construction coordination, procurement, commissioning, and client engagement to move projects safely from definition through completion.
The organization values ownership, transparent reporting, practical problem-solving, and strong execution discipline. Engineers are expected to connect technical decisions with schedule, cost, quality, safety, and operational outcomes rather than manage isolated activities.
In this role, you will work with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, suppliers, and client representatives in Doha. Your contribution will help ensure project scope is clearly defined, risks are controlled early, engineering deliverables are fit for purpose, and commitments are converted into reliable field execution.
The team offers an environment where experienced engineers can influence delivery systems, improve project performance, and build trusted relationships across technical and commercial stakeholders.
About the Role
As Senior Project Engineer, you will own the technical and cross-functional delivery of assigned oil and gas projects from planning through completion. You will translate contract requirements into coordinated engineering deliverables, execution plans, schedules, and decisions that enable safe, compliant, and predictable project outcomes.
You will act as a central interface between engineering disciplines, project controls, procurement, construction, commissioning, contractors, suppliers, and client representatives. Your leverage will come from identifying constraints early, resolving technical interfaces, maintaining configuration and change control, and ensuring field execution reflects approved design.
Success means projects progress against committed scope, cost, schedule, quality, and safety objectives. You will provide clear visibility into risks, decisions, dependencies, and recovery actions while strengthening delivery systems that improve project performance across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Own integrated engineering delivery across assigned projects, converting contract scope and client requirements into coordinated technical plans, deliverables, interfaces, and decisions that protect schedule, cost, quality, and safety outcomes.
- Lead multidisciplinary coordination through engineering reviews, interface registers, action tracking, and escalation routines, ensuring unresolved technical issues do not become procurement, construction, commissioning, or handover delays.
- Control engineering changes through documented impact assessment, approval workflows, and configuration discipline, protecting the approved baseline while enabling justified changes without compromising technical integrity or commercial performance.
- Partner with project controls to maintain credible progress measurement, forecast completion risks, and define recovery actions using schedule data, critical-path analysis, milestone reviews, and transparent performance reporting.
- Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, contractors, and site teams to resolve technical queries, verify deliverable readiness, and ensure materials, equipment, and construction packages support planned field execution.
- Drive compliance with applicable codes, client specifications, quality requirements, HSE expectations, and company procedures, ensuring engineering decisions are reviewable, auditable, and fit for safe operational use.
- Support commissioning, start-up, punch-list closure, and final handover by ensuring systems, documentation, testing evidence, and technical records are complete and aligned with operational requirements.
Essential Skills & Technologies
- Strong project engineering capability across multidisciplinary oil and gas delivery, including engineering coordination, technical documentation, design reviews, interface management, procurement support, construction support, commissioning, and handover.
- Proficiency with project controls and engineering collaboration systems, including schedules, progress measurement, risk and action registers, document control, change management, and technical query workflows.
- Working knowledge of relevant engineering codes, client specifications, quality systems, HSE requirements, and contractor management practices, with the judgment to escalate risks before they affect delivery.
Additional Plus
- Experience delivering brownfield, EPC, EPCM, or major maintenance projects where interfaces, shutdown constraints, operational continuity, and stakeholder alignment materially influence execution outcomes.
- Professional engineering registration, project management certification, or formal training in risk, contract, cost, schedule, or quality management would strengthen your ability to lead integrated delivery.
- Experience working directly with international clients, engineering consultants, vendors, contractors, and site teams across culturally diverse project environments would be advantageous.
What You'll Bring
You bring 8–10 years of progressive project engineering experience, ideally gained across complex oil and gas, energy, industrial, or infrastructure projects. You can take ownership of a delivery problem, establish the facts, align the right stakeholders, and drive a decision through to measurable closure.
You are comfortable moving between technical detail and project-level priorities. You understand how engineering maturity affects procurement, construction, commissioning, cost, schedule, quality, and safety, and you use that understanding to identify dependencies before they become constraints.
You communicate clearly with engineers, project managers, clients, contractors, suppliers, and site teams. You create visibility through concise reporting, disciplined registers, and evidence-based forecasts rather than relying on informal updates.
You bring sound engineering judgment, commercial awareness, and a strong commitment to technical integrity. You are willing to challenge unsafe, noncompliant, or poorly defined work while remaining practical and solutions-oriented.
A bachelor's degree in engineering is required. Success also depends on your ability to organize competing priorities, maintain momentum under pressure, and build trust through reliable follow-through.
Why Join Us
- Own visible project outcomes in a senior engineering role where your decisions directly influence safety, technical integrity, schedule reliability, cost performance, and successful client delivery.
- Work across the full project lifecycle with multidisciplinary teams, gaining meaningful influence over engineering systems, field execution, commissioning readiness, and operational handover.
- Join an environment that values accountability, transparent communication, practical problem-solving, and continuous improvement rather than activity without measurable delivery impact.
What We Offer
- A senior project engineering opportunity based in Doha, with exposure to complex oil and gas delivery, multidisciplinary stakeholders, client interfaces, contractors, suppliers, and critical execution decisions.
- The opportunity to shape reliable project systems, strengthen delivery performance, and grow your influence across technical, commercial, construction, commissioning, and operational workstreams.
- A structured, outcome-focused working environment with clear ownership, disciplined governance, and recognition for decisions that improve safety, quality, schedule, cost, and client confidence.
