About the Company

Meril is a medical devices company focused on developing and manufacturing advanced healthcare products that address important clinical needs. The company brings together research, engineering, manufacturing, regulatory, and commercial capabilities to move innovations from concept to patient impact. Its portfolio spans cardiovascular and structural heart devices, peripheral interventions, orthopedics, and other medical technologies. Meril operates in a regulated, quality-led environment where product reliability, clinical value, and responsible execution are essential. The organization combines scientific expertise with industrial scale, enabling teams to build, validate, and deliver technologies for healthcare systems and patients. This role joins a business where finance is expected to strengthen decision quality, operational discipline, compliance, and sustainable growth across a complex medical devices value chain.

About the Role

As Head of Finance, you will own the finance agenda for the Vapi operation and connect financial control with business performance. You will lead planning, reporting, budgeting, cash management, statutory compliance, audit readiness, and management insights through robust systems and disciplined governance. The role will partner with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, regulatory, commercial, and corporate stakeholders to improve cost visibility, working capital, investment decisions, and operational accountability. You will also support treasury priorities and strategic transactions, including M&A and IPO readiness where relevant. Success means reliable numbers, timely decisions, stronger controls, and finance leadership that helps the medical devices business scale responsibly while protecting compliance and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own annual operating plans, rolling forecasts, and scenario models through structured planning systems, improving visibility into revenue, costs, cash flow, capacity, and investment decisions.
  • Lead monthly closing, management reporting, and performance reviews through accurate financial information, enabling leaders to act quickly on variances, risks, and corrective priorities.
  • Strengthen financial controls, accounting governance, and audit readiness through documented processes and compliance routines, reducing control gaps across a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Manage working capital, cash conversion, inventory, payables, receivables, and treasury coordination through targeted operating levers, improving liquidity and supporting disciplined growth without compromising supply continuity.
  • Partner with manufacturing and supply chain leaders on standard costing, product economics, yield, waste, procurement, and productivity, converting operational data into margin and efficiency improvement.
  • Direct statutory, tax, audit, and regulatory finance requirements through reliable records and stakeholder coordination, protecting the company’s license to operate and leadership credibility.
  • Support M&A, IPO preparedness, due diligence, transaction modelling, and investor-grade reporting when required, ensuring strategic initiatives are financially rigorous and execution-ready.
  • Build and coach a high-performing finance team through clear ownership, capability development, and performance standards, creating scalable finance support for a growing medical devices business.

Essential Skills & Technologies

  • Strong command of financial planning, accounting, controllership, management reporting, cash flow, working capital, costing, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ERP-led finance operations, advanced Excel or financial modelling, dashboard-based reporting, and data-driven business reviews that improve decision quality and execution.
  • Practical knowledge of statutory compliance, taxation, internal controls, audit management, risk governance, and regulated-industry requirements, with the judgement to balance control and commercial speed.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional decisions across manufacturing, supply chain, commercial, quality, regulatory, and corporate teams.

Additional Plus

  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, valuation inputs, integration planning, transaction modelling, or post-deal finance governance in a complex operating environment.
  • Exposure to IPO preparation, investor-grade reporting, capital-market readiness, or public-company controls, with the ability to strengthen data quality, governance, and stakeholder confidence.
  • Working knowledge of treasury activities such as liquidity planning, banking relationships, funding, foreign exchange, cash management, and risk mitigation, alongside experience in regulated manufacturing or healthcare.

What You'll Bring

You bring 12–18 years of progressive finance experience, including meaningful leadership responsibility in manufacturing, healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or another complex operating environment. You combine strong accounting and controllership fundamentals with commercial judgement, operational curiosity, and the ability to turn financial information into action. You are comfortable owning planning, reporting, controls, compliance, cash, costing, and business partnering rather than treating them as separate activities. You can establish reliable processes, challenge assumptions constructively, and communicate risks and trade-offs clearly to senior leaders. Experience working with ERP systems, plant or supply-chain finance, audits, statutory requirements, and cross-functional performance reviews will be important. Exposure to treasury is desired, while experience with M&A, IPO preparation, transaction support, or investor-grade reporting will strengthen your fit. You build capable teams through clear standards, coaching, and accountability. Just as importantly, you understand that finance in a regulated medical devices business must protect quality, compliance, and trust while enabling innovation and growth. You will be expected to operate with integrity, detail orientation, decisiveness, and a practical bias toward measurable business outcomes.

Why Join Us

  • Join a medical devices company where finance directly shapes investment, manufacturing discipline, compliance, and sustainable growth across technologies designed to address important clinical needs.
  • Work at the intersection of research, engineering, manufacturing, regulatory, and commercial teams, gaining broad influence over decisions that connect operational performance with patient and business impact.
  • Help build scalable finance systems and capabilities in a complex, quality-led environment where reliable governance and better business insight can materially improve execution.

What We Offer

  • A senior finance leadership mandate with ownership across planning, controllership, compliance, cash, costing, treasury coordination, and performance management for a growing medical devices operation.
