About the Role

As Finance Manager, you will manage the company’s financial and fiscal activities in Japan, reporting to the Country Manager and Regional Finance Controller. You will coordinate accounting, internal and statutory audit, budgeting, MIS, cash and fund flow, taxation, statutory reporting, payroll oversight, financial records, and debtor and creditor control. Your focus will be reliable financial visibility, timely compliance, disciplined controls, and practical analysis that supports business performance. You will coordinate with government agencies, auditors, tax authorities, banks, financial institutions, and tax consultants, while supporting local and headquarters finance initiatives. You will also supervise and develop local and back-office finance staff through clear goals, coaching, evaluation, and retention practices.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Skills & Technologies

• You bring substantial experience managing finance operations and the judgment to balance compliance, commercial priorities, liquidity, and operational pace. You can move between detailed accounting records and the business questions behind the numbers, identifying weaknesses in financial statements, cash flow, cost controls, and expenses before they become material risks.
• You communicate clearly with the Country Manager, Regional Finance Controller, headquarters, business leaders, auditors, tax authorities, banks, consultants, and finance colleagues. You are comfortable implementing policies and procedures, managing statutory and tax deadlines, and turning MIS into practical decisions.
• You bring a hands-on approach to D365 and Yayoi reconciliation, record maintenance, payroll oversight, debtor control, and financial reporting. As a people manager, you set clear expectations, coach for capability, evaluate fairly, and support retention.
• You also bring discretion, structured problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate local and regional initiatives while maintaining ownership of accurate, timely outcomes.
