About the Company

A leading telecom company is hiring for a role that supports managed Microsoft 365 solutions for enterprise customers. The environment is focused on helping sales teams position services that improve productivity, security, compliance, and identity outcomes while keeping delivery practical and supportable. The organization works with customers that expect dependable operations, clear service ownership, and strong technical guidance from first conversation through implementation. This role sits in a client-facing setting where technical depth, commercial awareness, and solution clarity matter equally.

About the Role

This role owns pre-sales technical leadership for managed Microsoft 365 opportunities in the telecom industry. The person will partner with sales to qualify deals, shape solution direction, and build confidence in managed services through discovery, technical design, and customer-facing presentations. The role is accountable for turning customer needs into practical managed service proposals covering licensing, governance, security, endpoint management, and operational support. Success depends on connecting technical capability to business value, delivery feasibility, and a smooth handover into implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own technical pre-sales for managed Microsoft 365 opportunities, connecting customer needs to solution design, service scope, and commercial value. This includes translating business pain points into a managed services approach that sales teams can position confidently.
  • Partner with sales teams during qualification and opportunity shaping, using discovery insights to guide deal strategy, solution fit, and customer expectations. The goal is to improve win probability through clearer technical positioning and sharper value articulation.
  • Lead customer discovery workshops to assess current Microsoft 365 environments, identify gaps, and capture target-state outcomes. Document requirements, assumptions, and constraints so proposals are grounded in real operating conditions.
  • Design high-level managed Microsoft 365 architectures across licensing, governance, security controls, endpoint management, and service operations. Ensure the solution is practical for telecom customers and aligned to managed delivery models.
  • Deliver demos, workshops, and proof-of-concepts that show how Microsoft 365 capabilities improve productivity, security, compliance, and identity outcomes. Link every technical point back to business impact and return on investment.
  • Prepare technical inputs for proposals, including scope, solution description, service approach, and implementation handover notes. The outcome is a clearer, more defensible proposal that reduces ambiguity for delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with delivery, product, and partner teams to confirm feasibility and support a smooth transition from pre-sales into implementation. This protects customer experience and reduces downstream delivery risk.

Essential Skills & Technologies

  • Strong pre-sales experience with Microsoft 365 solutions across productivity, security, compliance, and identity. The candidate should be able to explain technical choices in business terms and adapt the message for senior customer stakeholders.
  • Hands-on understanding of managed services operating models, including SLA-led support, monitoring, governance, and lifecycle management. This is important for positioning a solution that is both technically sound and operationally sustainable.
  • Ability to design high-level architectures for Microsoft 365 licensing, endpoint management, identity, and security controls. The role needs someone who can balance customer needs, technical constraints, and commercial practicality.
  • Experience running discovery workshops, gathering requirements, and documenting assumptions clearly. Good discovery discipline ensures proposals are accurate, customer expectations are aligned, and delivery teams are set up for success.
  • Confident demo and presentation skills with the ability to connect platform features to business outcomes and ROI. The candidate should be credible with both technical buyers and commercial decision-makers.
  • Working knowledge of proposal development, solution descriptions, and service transition planning. This helps produce customer-facing material that is clear, complete, and ready for internal review and execution.
  • Familiarity with telecom industry engagement models and customer environments. Industry context matters because it influences procurement patterns, stakeholder expectations, and how managed services are adopted.

Additional Plus

  • Exposure to proof-of-concept design and validation for Microsoft 365 use cases. This adds value when customers need evidence before they commit to a managed services model.
  • Experience creating customer-ready technical collateral and internal enablement content. This helps scale the team’s quality, consistency, and speed in future pursuits.
  • Familiarity with partnering across sales, delivery, product, and ecosystem partners. Cross-functional coordination improves solution feasibility and handover quality.

What You'll Bring

  • 5–6 years of relevant experience in Microsoft 365 pre-sales, solution consulting, or technical advisory roles. The background should show comfort with both customer conversations and solution design.
  • A strong ability to influence deals through discovery, solution shaping, and value-based positioning. The person should help sales teams move opportunities forward with clarity and confidence.
  • Practical knowledge of managed services delivery expectations, including supportability, monitoring, governance, and transition to implementation. This ensures the solution can be delivered well, not just sold well.
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach with sales, delivery, and partner teams. Success in this role depends on building trust internally as much as externally.
