About the Company

testing_1 is a small banking-focused organization based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The company operates with a strong emphasis on operational discipline, accuracy, and dependable execution in financial workflows. In a business where timing, control, and service quality matter, the organization values people who can keep processes stable and teams aligned.

The company vision is built around doing the fundamentals well and supporting high-trust operations that reduce risk while improving consistency. This role sits in a critical function that supports foreign exchange operations, where strong ownership, clear communication, and careful process management directly affect business outcomes.

About the Role

This Team Lead role owns the day-to-day performance of the forex operations team, ensuring transactions, controls, and service commitments are executed accurately and on time. The role is accountable for workflow stability, issue resolution, and team productivity across a regulated and detail-intensive operating environment.

The right candidate will bring strong domain knowledge in forex operations, a steady command of process discipline, and the ability to lead people through clear priorities and measurable standards. Success in this role is defined by reduced operational risk, faster turnaround, strong compliance adherence, and a team that consistently delivers reliable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own daily forex operations execution, ensuring transactions, reconciliations, and handoffs are completed accurately, on time, and in line with policy. The impact is lower processing error and stronger service reliability.
  • Lead, coach, and monitor the team through clear targets, quality checks, and structured reviews. This creates consistent output, better accountability, and stronger people performance.
  • Manage escalations, exceptions, and customer or internal stakeholder issues with speed and judgment. The outcome is faster resolution and less disruption to downstream work.
  • Strengthen operating controls, approvals, and documentation so the process remains compliant and audit-ready. This reduces regulatory risk and protects business integrity.
  • Track volumes, SLAs, and productivity metrics, then use them to improve capacity planning and daily execution. This helps the team stay efficient under changing workloads.
  • Partner with compliance, finance, operations, and support teams to resolve process gaps and improve coordination. The result is smoother cross-functional delivery and fewer repeated issues.
  • Identify recurring process breaks and drive fixes through root-cause analysis and control enhancements. This improves efficiency, reduces waste, and increases process reliability.

Essential Skills & Technologies

  • Strong hands-on experience in forex operations, including transaction processing, reconciliations, settlements, and control checks. The candidate should understand how accuracy, timing, and compliance shape business risk.
  • Proven people leadership in an operations environment, with the ability to assign work, coach performance, and manage day-to-day priorities. The role depends on turning team effort into dependable delivery.
  • Solid understanding of financial operations, regulatory discipline, and documentation standards. This supports audit readiness, process control, and strong decision-making under pressure.
  • Comfortable working with MIS, trackers, workflow queues, and reporting tools to monitor performance and identify gaps. The ability to use data for operational control is essential.
  • Strong stakeholder management and escalation handling skills, with clear communication across internal teams. This ensures issues are resolved quickly and collaboration stays effective.

Additional Plus

  • Prior experience in banking, treasury, payments, or another regulated financial operations setup will be an advantage.
  • Exposure to process improvement, automation, or control strengthening initiatives will help the candidate add value faster.
  • Familiarity with audit support, exception management, or compliance-led workflows will be considered a plus.

What You'll Bring

  • Ownership mindset with the ability to run a team, hold standards, and deliver outcomes without close supervision.
  • Strong judgment in handling exceptions, balancing speed with control, and keeping operations stable under pressure.
  • People leadership skills that improve performance, engagement, and accountability across the team.
  • A process-first approach with the discipline to spot risk early and drive practical improvements.
