About the Company

Athena Executive Search & Consulting is hiring a Solar Technician for an onsite field role supporting solar industry operations across Uttar Pradesh and the Delhi NCR region. The position will contribute directly to reliable installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of solar energy systems. The successful candidate will work closely with field teams, supervisors, customers, and service partners to ensure technical issues are resolved safely and efficiently. This opportunity is suited to a hands-on technician who takes ownership of equipment performance, follows documented procedures, and communicates clearly when systems require attention. The role offers exposure to practical solar technology, electrical systems, preventive maintenance, commissioning support, and field-service execution. Candidates with a relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline will be considered. Athena Executive Search & Consulting is seeking dependable professionals who can work onsite, travel across assigned locations when required, and help maintain strong service outcomes for solar projects.

About the Role

As a Solar Technician, you will own the hands-on execution required to keep solar energy systems operational across assigned sites. You will install, inspect, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment while following electrical safety standards and approved technical procedures. The role connects field activity to business impact: accurate work improves system uptime, reduces repeat failures, protects project performance, and supports customer confidence. You will diagnose faults methodically, document findings, escalate complex issues, and coordinate with supervisors or engineering teams when specialist support is needed. Success requires disciplined onsite execution, practical electrical understanding, attention to detail, and reliable communication. You may work across Uttar Pradesh and the Delhi NCR region, responding to scheduled installations, preventive maintenance requirements, breakdowns, and service priorities. This is a suitable opportunity for a technician with one to three years of relevant experience who wants to build deeper capability in solar operations and field service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, inspect, and service solar panels, inverters, batteries, cabling, mounting systems, and associated electrical equipment to improve site readiness and long-term system performance.
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and system-level faults using testing instruments, technical documentation, and structured troubleshooting methods to restore operation safely and reduce downtime.
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, identifying early signs of degradation and resolving issues before they develop into costly equipment failures or customer-impacting outages.
  • Record inspections, repairs, measurements, parts usage, and site conditions through approved reports or service systems, creating traceable information for decisions and future maintenance.
  • Follow electrical, working-at-height, personal-protection, and site-safety procedures during every assignment, protecting people, equipment, compliance standing, and project continuity.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineering teams, customers, and service partners to communicate findings, manage escalations, and close technical issues within agreed service expectations.
  • Support site surveys, material checks, equipment testing, and installation readiness activities, ensuring field requirements are visible early and execution proceeds without avoidable delays.

Essential Skills & Technologies

  • Practical knowledge of electrical systems, DC and AC circuits, wiring, earthing, multimeters, testing instruments, inverters, batteries, and solar photovoltaic equipment is essential for safe field diagnosis.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, installation drawings, equipment manuals, and service procedures is required to execute work accurately and resolve faults through repeatable technical methods.
  • Strong safety discipline, field communication, documentation, and basic digital reporting capability are necessary to coordinate onsite work and maintain reliable service records.

Additional Plus

  • Experience with solar photovoltaic installation, commissioning, operations, or maintenance will help the technician contribute productively with less supervision and shorten time to field independence.
  • Exposure to rooftop, commercial, industrial, or utility-scale solar sites is advantageous because it builds familiarity with varied equipment, access conditions, and service priorities.
  • Knowledge of mobile service applications, maintenance logs, or ticketing workflows is useful for improving issue visibility, escalation quality, and closure discipline.

What You'll Bring

  • You will bring one to three years of relevant technician or field-service experience, ideally involving electrical systems, solar equipment, electronics, or industrial maintenance. A relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field will support your technical foundation.
  • You should be comfortable working onsite across Uttar Pradesh and the Delhi NCR region, handling practical equipment issues, and maintaining focus in changing field conditions. You will need the judgment to identify immediate safety risks, the discipline to follow approved procedures, and the curiosity to understand why a system has failed rather than applying temporary fixes.
  • Clear communication matters because your observations influence supervisors, engineers, customers, and future maintenance decisions. You should be able to use basic testing equipment, interpret technical documentation, complete service records, and escalate issues that require specialist intervention.
  • Dependability, physical readiness for field work, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safe execution will help you succeed in this role.

Why Join Us

  • Build practical expertise across solar installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting while contributing directly to equipment uptime and dependable renewable-energy operations.
  • Gain broader field exposure across Uttar Pradesh and the Delhi NCR region, working with varied sites, technical issues, stakeholders, and service priorities.
