Business Head - Battery Unit

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India | Experience: Senior (12–15 years)

About the Company

testing_1 is a small Bangalore-based company operating in the Banking industry with a compact team and an early-stage profile. The company’s public footprint is minimal, so the role should be framed around building commercial momentum, disciplined execution, and cross-functional coordination. With headquarters in Bangalore and a lean structure, the business likely needs leaders who can work closely with senior stakeholders, create clarity in fast-moving situations, and drive outcomes with practical ownership. The company’s scale suggests a hands-on environment where leaders are expected to balance strategy with execution and help shape the next phase of growth.

About the Role

The Business Head - Battery Unit will own the growth, performance, and commercial direction of the battery business. This role is responsible for translating business goals into execution across sales, operations, partnerships, and profitability, while ensuring the unit scales with discipline. The leader will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to build market traction, improve unit economics, and maintain strong delivery standards. Success in this role means creating a clear operating cadence, setting measurable targets, and ensuring the battery unit contributes meaningfully to overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the battery unit’s commercial plan and operating priorities, translating business goals into measurable revenue, margin, and growth targets.
  • Build and manage stakeholder relationships across customers, vendors, internal teams, and leadership to unlock demand and sustain execution.
  • Oversee day-to-day business performance, identify bottlenecks early, and put systems in place that improve speed, control, and accountability.
  • Drive market expansion and partnership opportunities by evaluating channels, customer segments, and commercial levers that increase unit scale.
  • Monitor financial and operational metrics closely, using the numbers to improve pricing, profitability, forecasting, and decision-making.
  • Align cross-functional teams around execution standards so product, operations, and commercial activity move toward the same business outcomes.
  • Strengthen process discipline and governance so the unit can grow without losing visibility, quality, or control.

Essential Skills & Technologies

  • Strong business leadership experience with the ability to own a unit-level P&L and turn strategy into commercial outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of sales, operations, forecasting, and stakeholder management in a business that requires both growth and control.
  • Ability to use data and metrics to manage performance, identify risk early, and make practical decisions under pressure.
  • Experience coordinating across functions to improve execution, reduce friction, and keep priorities aligned to business goals.
  • Commercial judgment to evaluate opportunities, shape partnerships, and improve margins without compromising delivery quality.
  • Strong communication and influence skills to align leadership, teams, and external stakeholders around action and accountability.

Additional Plus

  • Experience in batteries, energy storage, industrial products, or adjacent technical businesses would help shorten the ramp-up and improve decision quality.
  • Exposure to scaling a lean business environment is a plus because this role will likely require building systems while delivering results.
  • Familiarity with P&L ownership, channel growth, or operational transformation would add value in this leadership role.
