Success in this role means resolving issues quickly, preventing avoidable disruption, and keeping workplace facilities reliable for employees and visitors.
About the Role
As a Plumber, you will own the working condition of plumbing and sanitary systems across the company’s facilities. You will use preventive maintenance schedules, inspection checklists, maintenance records, and safe work practices to keep water supply, drainage, fixtures, and related services dependable. The role combines planned upkeep with rapid response to leaks, blockages, breakdowns, and installation needs. The position is onsite in Bengaluru and suits a practical, accountable professional who can work independently while maintaining clear service records.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect water supply, drainage, sanitary systems, and plumbing fixtures using maintenance checklists to identify defects early and prevent disruption to daily facility operations.
- Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages, faulty valves, damaged pipes, faucets, toilets, and related equipment, restoring reliable service while minimizing repeat failures.
- Deliver preventive maintenance through scheduled inspections, cleaning, testing, and replacement of worn components, extending asset life and reducing emergency repair requirements.
- Complete plumbing installations, modifications, and minor improvement works according to approved requirements, applicable safety practices, and quality expectations.
- Maintain accurate work orders, repair logs, material usage, and open-issue records so facilities decisions are based on visible service history and costs.
- Coordinate with facility managers, contractors, and external service providers when work requires additional capability, ensuring scope, safety, timing, and completion standards remain controlled.
- Escalate major risks, recurring failures, water damage, hygiene concerns, or service interruptions promptly, protecting people, property, and business continuity.
Essential Skills & Technologies
- Strong practical knowledge of plumbing systems, pipework, valves, fittings, drainage, sanitary fixtures, water tanks, pumps, and common building maintenance equipment.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot leaks, low pressure, blockages, drainage failures, and fixture issues using systematic inspection and root-cause diagnosis.
- Competence with hand tools, power tools, sealants, pipe-cutting and joining methods, testing equipment, and safe material handling procedures.
- Working knowledge of preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, maintenance logs, inventory control, and basic computerized or mobile facility reporting systems.
- Ability to interpret basic layouts, follow installation specifications, coordinate repair work, and maintain compliance with workplace health, safety, and hygiene requirements.
Additional Plus
- Experience maintaining plumbing systems in offices, commercial buildings, hotels, hospitals, banking facilities, or other environments where service continuity and hygiene are important.
- Familiarity with pumps, water treatment equipment, rainwater systems, fire-service interfaces, or broader mechanical and electrical facility coordination.
- Experience supervising contractors, estimating materials, tracking recurring issues, or supporting small facility improvement projects from planning through completion.
What You'll Bring
- A practical plumbing qualification such as ITI, vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on trade experience, supported by at least two years maintaining or repairing building plumbing systems.
- Strong diagnostic judgment and a safety-first approach, with the discipline to isolate hazards, protect surrounding areas, use appropriate personal protective equipment, and complete work to a durable standard.
- Reliable ownership of onsite issues, including clear communication with stakeholders, timely escalation of risks, accurate documentation, and willingness to respond constructively to urgent maintenance needs.
- Physical readiness for inspection, lifting, bending, climbing, confined access, and extended periods of standing, together with professional conduct around employees, visitors, vendors, and sensitive workplace environments.
Why Join Us
