About the Company
We are a finance-focused organization committed to delivering accurate, secure, and dependable products and operational services for customers and internal stakeholders. Our teams combine financial expertise, technology, and disciplined processes to improve trust across every transaction and business workflow. Quality is treated as a business lever rather than a final checkpoint. The organization invests in structured testing, transparent defect management, and close collaboration between finance, product, engineering, operations, and compliance teams. This role will contribute to stronger controls, fewer production issues, and more predictable delivery outcomes. We value people who investigate root causes, communicate clearly, and use evidence to improve systems over time. As the company continues to strengthen its digital and financial capabilities, the QA Analyst will help ensure that changes are fit for purpose, traceable, and aligned with user and regulatory expectations. The team offers an environment where ownership, continuous learning, and practical problem-solving are expected and supported.
About the Role
As a QA Analyst supporting the finance function, you will own the quality validation of applications, workflows, reports, integrations, and process changes that affect financial accuracy and business continuity. You will translate requirements into risk-based test coverage, execute functional and regression testing, and provide evidence-based release recommendations. Your work will connect finance users, product managers, developers, and operations teams through clear defect reporting and timely risk escalation. Success means preventing avoidable production issues, improving confidence in releases, and ensuring that financial processes remain accurate, secure, traceable, and usable. You will also contribute to test process improvements, reusable test assets, and stronger quality controls across the delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Own functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing for finance applications, workflows, reports, and releases. Your coverage should reduce production defects and protect financial accuracy across critical business processes.
- Convert requirements, user stories, process documents, and acceptance criteria into traceable test scenarios. Identify coverage gaps early so delivery teams can address risk before development is complete.
- Execute test cases consistently across supported environments and document results, evidence, assumptions, and risks. Provide reliable quality signals that support objective release and go-live decisions.
- Investigate defects by reproducing issues, isolating likely causes, and recording complete diagnostic information. Improve resolution speed by giving developers and business owners actionable, prioritized findings.
- Partner with finance stakeholders, product managers, developers, and operations teams during refinement, sprint reviews, releases, and production investigations. Keep quality risks visible and aligned to business impact.
- Validate data accuracy, calculations, reconciliations, reports, interfaces, and control points relevant to finance processes. Escalate discrepancies quickly to prevent downstream reporting, compliance, or customer-impacting issues.
- Maintain reusable test documentation, regression suites, and quality metrics through approved tools. Use defect trends and recurring failures to recommend process or system improvements.
Essential Skills & Technologies
- 2–5 years of experience in software quality assurance, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing. Demonstrated ability to test business-critical workflows with traceable evidence.
- Working knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or comparable platforms. Comfortable documenting scenarios, results, severity, priority, and release risks.
- Ability to validate data using SQL or equivalent query techniques, spreadsheets, and structured reconciliation methods. Familiarity with APIs, web applications, databases, and finance-related systems is valuable.
Additional Plus
- Experience testing banking, payments, accounting, lending, insurance, or other regulated financial workflows. Understanding of controls, auditability, reconciliations, and data privacy will strengthen your impact.
- Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman, basic automation frameworks, or CI/CD quality gates. These capabilities can help expand coverage and improve feedback speed.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum delivery, including refinement, planning, retrospectives, and release ceremonies. Experience working across business and technology teams is advantageous.
What You'll Bring
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, combined with 2–5 years of practical QA experience. You bring structured thinking and sound judgment when balancing coverage, deadlines, and business risk.
- Strong attention to detail when validating financial data, calculations, workflows, integrations, and user-facing outcomes. You can distinguish symptoms from root causes and explain technical findings in business language.
- Ownership of quality from requirement clarification through release validation and post-production learning. You follow through on open risks, maintain accurate evidence, and raise concerns early rather than allowing ambiguity to persist.
- Clear written and verbal communication with finance users, developers, product managers, and operations partners. You collaborate constructively, challenge assumptions with evidence, and help teams turn defects into lasting improvements.
Why Join Us
- Make a measurable contribution to financial accuracy, release confidence, and operational reliability. Your testing decisions will directly influence customer trust and the resilience of important business processes.
- Work across finance and technology teams on systems where quality has visible business consequences. The role offers broad exposure to workflows, controls, data, integrations, and delivery practices.
- Build deeper expertise in risk-based testing, financial technology, quality metrics, and continuous improvement. You will have opportunities to expand automation, tooling, and domain knowledge as the function evolves.
What We Offer
- A hybrid working model in Gurugram with structured collaboration across finance, product, engineering, and operations teams. The setup supports focused execution while maintaining strong stakeholder connection.
- A role with clear ownership, practical learning opportunities, and exposure to business-critical financial systems. Your work will be visible through improved quality signals, fewer defects, and stronger release outcomes.
- A market-aligned annual compensation range of ₹6–10 LPA, along with an environment that values disciplined execution, transparent communication, and continuous improvement.
