About the Company

Testing is an AI-focused company based in Gurgaon, building products and services in the artificial intelligence space. The team works from its headquarters in Gurgaon and operates with a strong product mindset, aiming to ship reliable solutions that support real business outcomes. As the company grows, it values people who can work with clarity, own quality end to end, and help teams move faster without losing rigor. The environment is suited to professionals who care about practical execution, dependable delivery, and improving how the organization builds and validates software. This role sits within that context and supports the company’s commitment to quality, consistency, and user trust.

About the Role

The Junior Selenium Tester will own the quality of web application releases through disciplined automation and functional testing. This role focuses on building and maintaining reliable Selenium test coverage, identifying defects early, and helping reduce manual effort through repeatable test execution. The right person will support product and engineering teams by translating requirements into clear test cases, validating fixes, and keeping release confidence high. Success in this role depends on attention to detail, good coordination with developers, and the ability to surface quality risks before they affect users. It is a strong fit for someone early in their testing career who wants to grow in automation while contributing directly to the stability and speed of delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Selenium-based automated test cases that improve regression coverage and reduce repeated manual effort across releases.
  • Execute functional, regression, and smoke testing on web applications to detect defects early and protect product quality before deployment.
  • Review product requirements and convert them into test scenarios that give engineering teams clear validation coverage and fewer release surprises.
  • Log, track, and retest defects with enough detail for developers to resolve issues quickly and for the team to measure recurring quality gaps.
  • Work closely with developers, product owners, and peers to align test execution with release priorities and keep delivery predictable.
  • Maintain test data, execution evidence, and basic reporting so stakeholders can see quality status and make release decisions with confidence.

Essential Skills & Technologies

  • Hands-on Selenium experience with a practical understanding of test automation for browser-based applications and the ability to keep scripts stable over time.
  • Working knowledge of test case design, defect reporting, and regression planning so quality checks are structured, repeatable, and easy to review.
  • Familiarity with core web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript, which helps in locating elements and understanding application behavior.
  • Understanding of QA processes, software development lifecycles, and release validation so testing is aligned with delivery milestones.
  • Exposure to version control tools, test management practices, and issue tracking systems so work is visible, organized, and easy to collaborate on.

Additional Plus

  • Exposure to API testing or other automation frameworks is a plus because it broadens coverage beyond browser-level checks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines or scheduled automation runs is helpful for improving how quickly the team catches regressions.
  • Basic scripting ability in Java or Python is an advantage for someone who wants to grow automation depth over time.

What You'll Bring

  • A detail-oriented approach to testing that helps the team catch issues early and release with more confidence.
  • Clear communication when raising defects, explaining risk, and coordinating retests so fixes move smoothly from identification to resolution.
  • Discipline in following test plans, maintaining automation assets, and keeping execution results organized for the wider team.
  • A willingness to learn, adapt, and improve automation quality while building a strong foundation in QA.
