About the Company
Testing is a small, focused technology company based in Gurgaon, India, with a strong presence in artificial intelligence. The team operates from its headquarters in Gurgaon and builds with a practical, outcome-driven mindset. As a lean organization, the company values clarity, ownership, and speed, and it expects each team member to contribute directly to product quality and customer impact. The environment suits people who are comfortable working closely with engineering teams, learning fast, and improving how things are built and shipped. This role sits inside a company where quality is treated as a business lever, not a checkbox, and where reliable execution matters as much as technical skill.
About the Role
The Junior QA Automation Analyst owns the reliability of product releases by supporting automated testing across core product workflows. The role is designed for someone early in their career who can learn quickly, follow testing standards, and contribute to building confidence in every release. The work is hands-on and collaborative, with close coordination across engineering and product teams to catch issues early, reduce regression risk, and improve test coverage over time. Success in this role means helping the team ship faster without sacrificing quality, while steadily strengthening the automation foundation that supports scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain automated test cases for core application flows so releases are validated consistently and defects are caught earlier in the delivery cycle.
- Execute regression and smoke testing across builds, then translate findings into clear defect reports that help engineering teams fix issues quickly and reduce rework.
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand acceptance criteria, improve test coverage, and make quality expectations visible before work reaches production.
- Review test results, troubleshoot failures, and separate product defects from environment or script issues so the team can focus on the right corrective action.
- Contribute to test planning, execution tracking, and quality reporting so stakeholders have a clear view of release readiness and risk.
- Support continuous improvement of the automation suite by identifying flaky tests, simplifying maintenance, and helping create a faster feedback loop for the team.
Essential Skills & Technologies
- Basic understanding of QA automation concepts, test design, and software development life cycle principles so you can build structured tests and work effectively with engineers.
- Hands-on exposure to one or more automation tools or frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar technologies used to validate web applications.
- Ability to write clear test cases and defect reports with enough detail to support fast debugging, accurate triage, and strong release decisions.
- Familiarity with version control, test execution workflows, and issue tracking systems so your work integrates smoothly with the team's delivery process.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail, enabling you to spot patterns, isolate failures, and protect product quality before problems reach users.
Additional Plus
- Experience with API testing or basic SQL is a strong plus because it helps widen coverage beyond the user interface.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines or automated test execution in build environments can help you contribute more quickly to release quality.
- A learning mindset and curiosity about engineering practices are valuable because the role grows with the maturity of the automation stack.
What You'll Bring
- A willingness to own quality outcomes, learn quickly, and apply structured thinking to testing problems in a fast-moving environment.
- Clear communication skills that help you explain failures, risks, and test results in a way that supports quick action from engineers and product teams.
- Comfort with detail-heavy work, repeated validation, and disciplined follow-through so the team can trust the reliability of your results.
- A collaborative approach that keeps quality aligned with delivery speed rather than treating testing as a separate function.
