About the Role

This role owns the delivery of full-stack features across the React front end and Node.js back end, with accountability for performance, reliability, and clean integration across the product. You will translate product requirements into working software, then strengthen it through testing, code quality, and thoughtful system design. The role is ideal for someone who can work across the stack, collaborate with product and design, and independently drive tasks from estimate to release. Success means shipping features that are easy to maintain, easy to scale, and measurably improve user experience and team velocity.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain user-facing features in React and the supporting Node.js APIs that power them, ensuring smooth end-to-end delivery and a consistent product experience.
• Translate product and design requirements into technical solutions, making trade-offs that balance speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.
• Design and implement reusable components, robust API contracts, and clean integration patterns that reduce duplication and improve development speed.
• Debug production issues across the stack, identify root causes quickly, and put durable fixes in place that improve application stability.
• Write and maintain automated tests for front-end and back-end code, increasing release confidence and reducing regressions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to scope work clearly, raise risks early, and keep delivery predictable.
• Review code from peers and contribute to engineering standards so the team produces secure, readable, and scalable software.

Essential Skills & Technologies

• Strong hands-on experience with React, including component architecture, state management, form handling, and building responsive interfaces that perform well.
• Solid Node.js experience for building APIs, integrating services, handling authentication flows, and implementing business logic cleanly.
• Good understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, debugging, version control, and working with relational or NoSQL databases in production environments.
• Familiarity with testing practices, performance tuning, and secure development basics so features ship with reliability and low operational risk.
• Ability to work across the full stack, communicate clearly with cross-functional partners, and make pragmatic engineering decisions under delivery timelines.

Additional Plus

• Experience with TypeScript across both React and Node.js is a strong advantage for code quality and maintainability.
• Exposure to cloud deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized development workflows will help accelerate delivery.
• Prior ownership of customer-facing features in a product company is helpful for operating with strong product judgment.
