About the Role

This role owns product quality for a growing AI-focused organization. The Quality Assurance Engineer will design and run test coverage that reduces defects, protects release confidence, and improves the customer experience. The role is hands-on and outcome-driven, with responsibility for identifying risks early, translating product changes into practical test plans, and ensuring issues are captured, communicated, and resolved quickly. It suits someone who can balance structured QA methods with the speed and ambiguity of a small team.

Key Responsibilities

• Own test coverage for product changes across web and related systems, ensuring releases meet quality expectations before they reach users.
• Build clear test plans, cases, and regression checks that turn product requirements into repeatable quality controls for faster, safer delivery.
• Identify defects early, document them clearly, and work with product and engineering teams to drive resolution without slowing release momentum.
• Validate fixes, retest critical flows, and protect the user experience by confirming that changes behave as expected across key scenarios.
• Improve QA processes by introducing practical checks, prioritizing high-risk areas, and reducing the chance of recurring issues in future releases.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, surface edge cases, and keep quality aligned with business priorities.
• Support release readiness by giving clear quality sign-off, escalating risks when needed, and helping the team ship with confidence.

Essential Skills & Technologies

• Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, including functional, regression, exploratory, and release validation practices.
• Ability to write concise test cases and bug reports that help engineers reproduce issues quickly and fix them with minimal back-and-forth.
• Experience testing web products and user workflows, with a practical eye for edge cases, usability gaps, and failure points.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and quality decisions must be made with limited direction.
• Good collaboration skills for working with engineering, product, and stakeholders to keep testing aligned with delivery goals.
• Familiarity with defect tracking, test management, and basic release processes used to manage and communicate quality status.

Additional Plus

• Exposure to automation testing, APIs, or CI-aware quality checks would be a strong advantage.
• Experience in AI, data, or emerging technology products is helpful but not mandatory.
