About the Company
The Mosaic Company helps the world grow the food it needs. It is a leading integrated producer of concentrated phosphate and potash, two essential nutrients used in agriculture. Through mining, processing, distribution and crop-nutrition innovation, including the Mosaic Biosciences platform, the company serves farmers and agricultural markets globally. Its work connects essential resources with the customers and communities that depend on productive, resilient farming. Mosaic operates across the full value chain, bringing together operational expertise, market understanding and innovation to support crop nutrition at scale. The company is responsible, reliable and future-focused in how it serves customers and manages its environmental footprint. By improving efficiency and advancing crop-nutrition solutions, Mosaic works to create lasting value for agriculture while responding to the evolving needs of farmers and markets. This role contributes to that mission by strengthening customer partnerships and expanding access to effective agricultural solutions across the assigned territory.
About the Role
The Territory Sales Manager will own commercial performance across an assigned territory in and around Hisar, Haryana, building trusted relationships with farmers, dealers, distributors and agricultural stakeholders. Through disciplined territory planning, consultative selling and strong field execution, the role will convert market opportunity into sustainable sales growth and customer value. The manager will understand local crop patterns, farmer needs, competitive dynamics and channel economics, then translate those insights into practical recommendations and focused sales plans. Success means improving territory coverage, strengthening channel partnerships, increasing adoption of crop-nutrition solutions and delivering reliable revenue performance. The role requires consistent customer presence, accurate market feedback and close coordination with internal teams across sales, supply, technical support and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own territory revenue, volume and customer-development outcomes through structured coverage plans, pipeline discipline and regular performance reviews that improve sales predictability.
- Build productive relationships with farmers, dealers, distributors and influencers by diagnosing crop-nutrition needs and connecting them with practical, value-led solutions.
- Expand market coverage through channel development, account prioritization and partner enablement, increasing product availability and improving conversion across target agricultural segments.
- Track crop cycles, local demand, competitor activity and pricing signals through field intelligence systems, turning insights into timely territory actions and commercial decisions.
- Coordinate with supply, technical, marketing and operations teams to resolve customer issues, protect service reliability and ensure commitments translate into repeat business.
- Maintain accurate forecasts, account records and opportunity updates in the company’s sales systems, enabling transparent decisions on inventory, resources and growth priorities.
- Represent the company responsibly in the agricultural community, reinforcing trust, compliance and long-term customer relationships while supporting sustainable market development.
Essential Skills & Technologies
- Demonstrated agricultural or agribusiness sales experience with a strong understanding of farmer needs, crop cycles, distribution channels and regional market dynamics.
- Consultative selling and negotiation skills that convert customer needs into commercially sound solutions, stronger channel partnerships and measurable territory growth.
- Ability to manage dealers, distributors and strategic accounts through structured planning, relationship ownership, follow-through and clear commercial communication.
- Strong field intelligence and analytical capability, including territory mapping, pipeline tracking, forecasting, competitor monitoring and interpretation of sales performance data.
- Comfortable using CRM platforms, Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools to maintain accurate records, prioritize opportunities and support fact-based decisions.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration with technical, supply, marketing and operations teams to improve customer outcomes and deliver reliable execution.
- Clear communication in English and relevant local languages, with the credibility to engage farmers, channel partners and internal stakeholders at different levels.
Additional Plus
- Experience selling fertilizers, crop nutrients, specialty agricultural inputs or related products through dealer and distributor networks would be advantageous.
- Existing relationships with agricultural stakeholders, cooperatives, dealers or distributors across Hisar and surrounding Haryana markets would accelerate territory development.
- A valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the assigned territory would support consistent customer coverage and field execution.
What You'll Bring
- Bring practical agricultural market knowledge and the curiosity to understand how local crops, farmer economics, channel structures and seasonal conditions shape buying decisions.
- Bring ownership for territory outcomes, balancing customer trust, channel productivity and commercial discipline rather than relying on transactional selling or short-term volume alone.
- Bring the ability to turn field observations into clear actions, accurate forecasts and useful feedback that helps internal teams improve product availability, service quality and market responsiveness.
- Bring resilience, organization and strong follow-through for frequent field travel, multiple stakeholders and changing market conditions across the assigned territory.
- Bring ethical judgment and a responsible approach to customer commitments, compliance and company representation, protecting long-term relationships while pursuing growth.
- Bring collaborative energy to work across sales, technical, supply, marketing and operations teams, ensuring local market needs are understood and converted into coordinated execution.
