Inbound Sales Manager – Food Processing Machinery
Location: Delhi, Delhi, India | Experience: Mid Level (3–6 years)
About the Company
Goodlife Technologies provides food processing machinery for bakery and food-production businesses. The company connects customers with practical equipment solutions that support reliable, efficient production. Its sales approach is built around understanding customer requirements, managing opportunities carefully, and maintaining responsive relationships with existing bakers and prospects generated through industry exhibitions. The team works in a hands-on environment where commercial follow-through, clear communication, and familiarity with Microsoft Office support daily execution. This is an opportunity to contribute to a business serving customers with specialised machinery while helping strengthen its inbound sales engine and customer coverage across the bakery segment.
About the Role
As Inbound Sales Manager, you will own the journey from incoming enquiry to qualified opportunity and completed sale for food processing machinery. You will manage leads from existing bakery customers and exhibitions, maintain disciplined follow-up, and ensure prospects receive timely, relevant information. The role combines relationship management, lead generation, pipeline organisation, and consultative selling in a technical product environment. You will work onsite in Delhi with the sales team, using Microsoft Office to maintain records, prepare proposals, track conversations, and report progress. The main challenge is converting varied inbound interest into an organised, visible pipeline while protecting response quality and customer trust. This opening is intended for female candidates and offers competitive compensation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own inbound leads from existing bakers and exhibition participation, qualifying requirements quickly and converting relevant enquiries into a visible, prioritised sales pipeline.
- Build structured follow-up plans for prospects, ensuring every enquiry receives timely communication, clear next steps, and consistent movement toward a commercial decision.
- Generate additional opportunities from existing bakery relationships by identifying equipment needs, expansion plans, replacement cycles, and opportunities for broader machinery adoption.
- Manage exhibition-generated leads from capture through closure, converting event conversations into scheduled discussions, proposals, demonstrations, and measurable sales opportunities.
- Maintain accurate lead, contact, quotation, and follow-up records using Microsoft Office, improving pipeline visibility and enabling dependable sales reporting.
- Coordinate with internal teams to clarify machinery requirements, align proposals with customer needs, and reduce delays between enquiry, solution presentation, and order conversion.
- Track lead quality, response timelines, follow-up outcomes, and conversion patterns to improve sales focus and strengthen the effectiveness of future exhibitions and campaigns.
Essential Skills & Technologies
- Strong inbound sales and lead-management capability, including enquiry qualification, prioritisation, follow-up planning, pipeline hygiene, and conversion tracking across multiple active prospects.
- Proven relationship-building and lead-generation skills with bakery owners, production teams, or food-processing businesses, supported by confident telephone, email, and in-person communication.
- Consultative selling ability for technical or industrial products, translating customer production requirements into relevant food processing machinery recommendations and commercially clear proposals.
- Working proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, for maintaining lead trackers, preparing quotations, communicating with prospects, and presenting sales information.
- Strong negotiation, objection-handling, and closing skills, with the discipline to move opportunities forward while protecting customer trust and commercial quality.
- Organised pipeline and reporting practices, including accurate data entry, follow-up scheduling, activity tracking, and concise reporting of opportunity status and expected outcomes.
Additional Plus
- Experience selling bakery equipment, food processing machinery, industrial products, or other technical solutions to business customers would strengthen product and customer conversations.
- Existing relationships with bakery owners, commercial bakeries, distributors, or food-production businesses could accelerate qualified lead generation and market coverage.
- Exposure to trade exhibitions, product demonstrations, quotation preparation, or CRM and sales-tracking systems would support faster ownership of the complete inbound sales cycle.
What You'll Bring
- 3–6 years of experience in inbound sales, inside sales, business development, or relationship-led selling, ideally within machinery, industrial equipment, food processing, or a related B2B environment.
- A commercially disciplined approach to managing every lead, with the persistence to follow through across multiple conversations and the judgement to focus effort on high-potential opportunities.
- Clear, professional communication skills and confidence engaging bakery customers, explaining technical offerings, handling questions, and building credibility throughout the buying process.
- Strong ownership, resilience, adaptability, and alignment with a customer-focused workplace where accurate execution and consistent follow-up directly influence revenue growth.
