About the Role

The Business Development Manager will own revenue growth for Microsoft Dynamics ERP solutions, from market development and pipeline creation through discovery, solution positioning, negotiation, and closure. This role is responsible for building trusted relationships with business and technology decision-makers, understanding operational challenges, and connecting them to practical Dynamics-led transformation outcomes. Success means creating qualified enterprise opportunities, progressing complex buying groups, and consistently converting opportunities into profitable engagements. The manager will work closely with solution consultants, delivery teams, partners, and leadership to shape compelling proposals and ensure commercial commitments are clear and achievable. The role requires experience managing the complete sales cycle and closing deals with a minimum value of ₹50 lakhs. It suits a consultative seller who can translate ERP capabilities into measurable business value and maintain disciplined forecasting throughout the revenue process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Microsoft Dynamics ERP revenue pipeline from territory planning through closure, improving forecast accuracy and creating predictable bookings across targeted accounts and industries.
  • Build senior client relationships through consultative discovery, identifying operational pain points and converting them into qualified transformation opportunities with clear commercial potential.
  • Lead the complete enterprise sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, solution alignment, proposals, negotiations, approvals, and contract closure for complex ERP engagements.
  • Develop and manage opportunities valued at ₹50 lakhs or more, protecting deal quality, margin expectations, decision-maker access, and momentum through each buying stage.
  • Coordinate with presales, delivery, partners, and leadership to produce credible proposals that connect Microsoft Dynamics capabilities with client outcomes, implementation realities, and business priorities.
  • Maintain rigorous CRM discipline, recording account strategy, opportunity stages, next actions, risks, and close plans so leadership can act on reliable sales intelligence.
  • Expand strategic accounts through cross-sell, upsell, referrals, and relationship development, increasing client lifetime value and strengthening the company’s enterprise market position.

Essential Skills & Technologies

  • Demonstrated experience selling Microsoft Dynamics ERP solutions, with the ability to position business applications, implementation services, integrations, and transformation value to enterprise stakeholders.
  • Strong command of consultative and solution selling, including discovery, stakeholder mapping, business case development, objection handling, negotiation, and executive-level communication.
  • Proven ownership of full-cycle B2B technology sales involving enterprise deal values of at least ₹50 lakhs, multi-stakeholder decisions, and extended procurement processes.
  • Practical experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline health, sales stages, activity quality, account plans, forecasts, and measurable conversion performance.
  • Ability to collaborate with presales, delivery, Microsoft ecosystem partners, and internal leadership to align proposed solutions with scope, feasibility, risk, and customer outcomes.
  • Strong commercial judgment, written proposal skills, presentation capability, and comfort translating complex ERP concepts into clear financial and operational benefits.

Additional Plus

  • Experience selling Dynamics 365, Business Central, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related Microsoft business applications to mid-market or enterprise customers.
  • Existing relationships with decision-makers across finance, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, services, or other ERP-buying business functions.
  • Exposure to partner-led selling, account-based marketing, industry-specific ERP use cases, or structured enterprise sales methodologies.

What You'll Bring

  • Bring 5–8 years of relevant business development or enterprise technology sales experience, with a consistent record of creating pipeline, advancing complex opportunities, and closing meaningful B2B deals.
  • Bring direct experience selling Microsoft Dynamics ERP solutions and the confidence to lead conversations with business leaders, IT stakeholders, procurement teams, and executive sponsors.
  • Bring evidence of managing the full sales cycle independently, including opportunities of at least ₹50 lakhs, while maintaining commercial discipline and clear ownership of outcomes.
  • Bring a consultative mindset that starts with customer problems rather than product features, then builds a compelling case for change tied to efficiency, visibility, control, growth, or risk reduction.
  • Bring strong forecasting discipline and CRM habits, ensuring that pipeline data reflects reality, decision processes are understood, and leadership receives early visibility into risks and opportunities.
  • Bring the ability to work across solution consulting, delivery, partners, and internal leadership without losing accountability for the client relationship or commercial result.
  • Bring resilience, adaptability, professionalism, and the persistence required to navigate long enterprise cycles, competitive situations, changing requirements, and multiple stakeholder priorities.
  • Bring a commitment to inclusive, respectful collaboration and a practical desire to help organizations build stronger teams and operate more effectively.
