About the Company
We are a sales and digital marketing company that helps manufacturers and distributors improve commercial performance through practical, measurable growth programs. For more than 15 years, we have worked with over 120 companies, combining sales expertise, market understanding, and disciplined execution to turn opportunities into stronger revenue outcomes. Our work connects strategy with frontline delivery, helping clients build better pipelines, improve customer coverage, and create repeatable ways to win in competitive markets. We value integrity, continuous learning, collaboration, and diversity because sustainable performance depends on trust, capable teams, and different perspectives. Our culture encourages people to take ownership, communicate clearly, and use evidence to improve decisions. As we continue developing our presence and capabilities, we are looking for professionals who can translate commercial priorities into local execution, build durable customer relationships, and create accountability across teams. This role will contribute directly to expanding market impact while preserving the quality, ethics, and client focus that have shaped our business over time.
About the Role
The Area Manager will own commercial performance across an assigned Tokyo territory, converting company strategy into focused sales execution and customer growth. Through territory planning, pipeline management, team coaching, and client engagement, this role will improve coverage, win rates, retention, and revenue quality. The manager will coordinate internal and external stakeholders, identify market opportunities, and ensure consistent execution against measurable goals. Success means building a predictable operating rhythm, developing accountable teams, and translating local market insight into decisions that strengthen the company’s position with manufacturers and distributors.
Key Responsibilities
- Own area revenue and growth performance through territory plans, sales targets, and weekly operating reviews that expose risks early and focus resources on the highest-value opportunities.
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline using CRM discipline, stage definitions, forecast reviews, and conversion analysis to improve predictability and commercial decision-making.
- Lead customer acquisition and expansion across manufacturers and distributors by aligning solutions to business needs, strengthening relationships, and increasing account value over time.
- Coach and develop sales professionals through structured feedback, field support, goal setting, and capability plans that improve productivity, confidence, and accountability.
- Translate market intelligence into practical priorities by monitoring competitors, customer behavior, channel conditions, and territory gaps that influence growth and retention.
- Partner with marketing, delivery, and leadership teams to coordinate campaigns, proposals, onboarding, and client outcomes while removing execution bottlenecks.
- Protect commercial quality through ethical selling, accurate reporting, strong qualification, and consistent adherence to company standards across the assigned area.
Essential Skills & Technologies
- Demonstrated area, regional, territory, or consultative sales management experience, with evidence of delivering revenue growth, pipeline health, customer retention, and team performance.
- Strong commercial planning and forecasting capability, including CRM usage, funnel analysis, account prioritization, target setting, and performance reporting for leadership decisions.
- Confident stakeholder and client communication skills, with the ability to present value, negotiate outcomes, resolve concerns, and build trust across senior business relationships.
- Effective people leadership through coaching, feedback, performance management, hiring support, and creation of accountable operating rhythms.
- Analytical and market-oriented thinking, using customer, competitor, and territory insights to identify opportunities and make disciplined resource decisions.
- Professional fluency in Japanese and English, enabling effective collaboration with Tokyo-based customers, local teams, and international stakeholders.
Additional Plus
- Experience selling sales enablement, digital marketing, consulting, or business-growth services to manufacturers, distributors, or other B2B organizations.
- Familiarity with Japanese B2B buying processes, channel structures, and relationship-led commercial environments, with the judgment to adapt global approaches locally.
- Experience managing cross-functional programs where marketing, sales, delivery, and client success must align around measurable commercial outcomes.
What You'll Bring
- You bring a commercially accountable mindset, taking ownership of area performance rather than treating targets, forecasts, or customer activity as isolated administrative measures.
- You bring the judgment to balance near-term revenue delivery with durable customer relationships, ethical selling, disciplined qualification, and long-term account value.
- You bring an analytical operating style, using CRM data, market evidence, and structured reviews to decide where teams should focus and how leaders should respond.
- You bring practical leadership that develops people through clear expectations, frequent coaching, honest feedback, and visible accountability for outcomes.
- You bring strong communication across cultures and functions, translating strategy into simple priorities that customers, sales teams, and internal partners can act on.
- You bring resilience and curiosity to a changing market, learning from results, testing better approaches, and sharing improvements that raise performance beyond your own territory.
- You bring respect for integrity, collaboration, continuous learning, and diversity, helping create a workplace where different perspectives improve decisions and strengthen execution.
- You bring the confidence to represent the company with manufacturers, distributors, and senior stakeholders while protecting trust and delivering measurable value.
