About the Role

This role owns assurance delivery for registered funds and supports the quality, consistency, and timeliness of audit outcomes. The manager will guide engagement planning, oversee fieldwork, review work product, and keep client communication clear and practical. Success in the role depends on balancing technical accounting knowledge with strong people leadership and the ability to keep multiple engagements moving without losing control of detail. The position requires someone who can work across teams, resolve issues early, and help maintain a high standard of service for fund clients. • Guide engagement teams through fieldwork, issue resolution, and client coordination so deadlines are met without sacrificing control or responsiveness.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, translating audit requirements into clear actions that support smooth communication and trusted relationships.
  • Identify risks, accounting issues, and process gaps early, then drive practical solutions that keep engagements on track and protect audit quality.
  • Coach and develop staff by giving clear direction, feedback, and review discipline that improves team performance and consistency.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to coordinate resources, manage priorities, and support efficient delivery across multiple concurrent engagements.

Essential Skills & Technologies

  • Deep working knowledge of assurance processes, workpaper review, engagement planning, and audit execution in a deadline-driven environment.
  • CPA license and the credibility to operate at manager level with clients, internal teams, and technical reviewers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain detail under pressure, and keep projects moving through clear follow-through and organized execution.
  • Strong client communication skills with the judgment to explain issues simply, set expectations early, and build confidence through consistency.
  • Leadership capability to coach staff, review work effectively, and raise team performance while maintaining quality standards.
  • Familiarity with registered funds or related financial services assurance work is strongly preferred because it shortens ramp-up time and improves engagement impact.

Additional Plus

  • Prior experience working on registered funds, investment funds, or similar financial services clients.
  • Exposure to a multi-location or regional public accounting environment with complex client portfolios.
