Regional Head - Sales
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India | Experience: Senior Level (10-15 years)
About the Company
Headquartered in Bengaluru, our company is building a stronger, more disciplined regional sales organization to support sustainable commercial growth. We are looking for leaders who can translate business priorities into clear market plans, consistent execution, and measurable revenue outcomes. The organization values ownership, customer understanding, data-informed decision-making, and close collaboration across teams. This role will contribute directly to how the company expands its regional presence, develops customer relationships, and strengthens its sales operating rhythm. The successful leader will work with a team-oriented group that expects high standards, practical judgment, and accountability for results. While the company operates from Bengaluru, this position requires meaningful engagement with customers, partners, and sales teams across the assigned region. We aim to create an environment where experienced commercial leaders can shape strategy, build capable teams, and deliver growth through repeatable systems rather than isolated wins. The role offers the opportunity to influence regional performance while helping establish scalable practices for the broader sales organization.
Company Practices & Ways of Working
- We work with clear ownership, measurable goals, and regular performance reviews so regional priorities remain connected to company objectives and commercial outcomes.
- Teams are expected to combine customer insight with sales data, use practical judgment, and collaborate across functions to remove execution barriers.
- Leaders are accountable for building repeatable processes, developing people, and addressing performance issues directly while maintaining a high standard of customer engagement.
About the Role
The Regional Head - Sales will own commercial performance across the assigned region, from revenue planning and pipeline health through customer acquisition, retention, and team productivity. This leader will convert company goals into a focused regional strategy, establish operating cadence, and ensure disciplined execution across the sales funnel. The role combines market leadership with hands-on management of sales managers and individual contributors. Success means delivering predictable growth, improving conversion and forecast accuracy, and creating a capable team that can scale. The role requires strong customer orientation, commercial judgment, and the ability to align sales execution with marketing, customer success, finance, and senior leadership. Based in Bengaluru, the leader will work in a hybrid model and travel as needed to engage customers, partners, and teams across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Own regional revenue and bookings performance through territory strategy, account prioritization, and operating reviews that improve predictability and deliver against growth commitments.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through disciplined qualification, stage governance, forecasting, and targeted interventions that improve conversion and reduce revenue volatility.
- Lead, coach, and develop regional sales managers and representatives through clear goals, structured reviews, capability plans, and accountability for individual and team outcomes.
- Establish customer and market coverage plans that strengthen executive relationships, expand strategic accounts, and create durable opportunities across the assigned region.
- Partner with marketing, customer success, finance, and product teams to align demand generation, handoffs, pricing, and customer outcomes with regional commercial priorities.
- Improve sales productivity by standardizing playbooks, inspection mechanisms, CRM hygiene, and performance dashboards that make execution gaps visible and actionable.
- Represent the region in leadership discussions, providing evidence-based insights on market conditions, risks, resource needs, and actions required to sustain growth.
Essential Skills & Technologies
- Demonstrated regional sales leadership experience with ownership of revenue targets, complex customer relationships, pipeline development, forecasting, and consistent performance across a multi-person team.
- Strong commercial strategy, negotiation, account planning, coaching, and executive communication skills, with the judgment to balance near-term targets against durable customer and market growth.
- Hands-on proficiency with CRM and sales analytics platforms, including pipeline inspection, forecast management, territory reporting, and data-led performance improvement.
Additional Plus
- Experience scaling sales teams, entering new territories, or building repeatable go-to-market motions in a high-growth or changing business environment.
- Exposure to cross-functional commercial planning involving marketing, customer success, finance, partnerships, or product teams.
- Willingness to travel across the assigned region for customer meetings, team leadership, partner development, and market engagement.
What You'll Bring
- You bring 10-15 years of progressive sales experience, including meaningful ownership of regional or multi-territory performance and responsibility for delivering revenue outcomes through other leaders and frontline teams.
- You bring a builder’s mindset: the ability to turn broad growth goals into focused territory plans, practical sales motions, operating cadences, and clear measures of progress.
- You bring strong customer and market judgment, enabling you to identify high-value opportunities, guide executive conversations, improve account penetration, and protect long-term commercial relationships.
- You bring rigorous pipeline and forecast discipline, using CRM data, inspection routines, and direct coaching to improve visibility, conversion, deal quality, and predictability.
- You bring the ability to hire, coach, motivate, and retain high-performing sales talent while addressing performance gaps fairly, promptly, and consistently.
- You bring collaborative leadership, partnering effectively across functions and communicating regional needs, risks, and opportunities with clarity to senior stakeholders.
- You bring resilience, ownership, and comfort operating in a hybrid environment where priorities evolve and results depend on decisive execution.
